Free Cinema Ticket Promotion

Brief
To create a promotional mechanic to reward purchasers of Diet Coke multi-packs offering consumers the chance to win a cinema ticket, by SMS, using a unique code found on-pack.
Objectives
To provide the consumer with an easy, low cost, ‘modern’ way of obtaining their ticket without expensive fulfilment costs and with no opportunity for fraud.
Delivery
Winning consumers were directed to a Diet Coke branded website, where they could print-off their cinema ticket – creating a simple, cost effective and easy to communicate redeem mechanic, which works in the UK using our Hollywood Movie Money print at home solution.
The print at home cinema ticket carried the value of one adult cinema ticket. Consumers simply presented the ticket at the box office and staff processed in the same way as any credit/debit card.
This promotion had a national coverage guarantee and we offered 24/7 phone and web support for any consumer queries. Tickets were single use only.
Results
The promotion ran on 44 million packs across the UK. We were able to track who used the ticket and where. Redemptions were close to forecast with a query level significantly below 1% of tickets issued.
